Karns High School (2012)
Lee University, BS in Elementary and Middle Grades Education (2016)
Hello! My name is Alyssa Lenderman. This is my first year teaching, and I am excited to be your 6th/7th grade math teacher this year! I have a passion for math and look forward to passing along my joy of learning to each of my students. I completed part of my student teaching here at Fort Loudoun in 6th grade math. I am honored to be continuing my time here! I have lived in Knoxville all of my life, except for my four years at Lee University in Cleveland, Tennessee. Now I live in the area with my husband and our dog, Henry.
Going into middle school, I was nervous and shy. It was a new school, where I would change classes for the first time and meet many new people. Although I was nervous about the transition, some of my closest and most meaningful friendships were built in middle school. These are the friends that I still see and spend time with today. I gained a confidence I had never had before during middle school, and I discovered my desire to become a teacher. I owe this to my wonderful teachers and the confidence they instilled in me. I hope to be an inspiration to my students, helping each one see his or her full potential.
