As many of you already know Loudon County Sheriff’s office lost one our own this week. Officer Chris Jenkins was a dear friend to many and a huge supporter of our school and community. Our 8th grade students had the opportunity Friday to participate in the procession as they traveled past Fort Loudoun Middle School. Our students were humbled by the experience, and I was proud of their maturity as they honored Officer Jenkins.
Loudon High School will be hosting receiving of friends and the memorial services on Tuesday and Wednesday of this week. The Memorial Service has been scheduled on Wednesday, February 9th at 1pm. FLMS will not be holding classes on Wednesday, and we will return to school on Thursday.
All after school sporting activities and practices for FLMS students will be suspended on both Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons to provide adequate parking and allow families to support our fallen hero.
Thank you for always being supportive of our school and community. You are all always so understanding and supportive. I love how our community always circles the wagons when others need love, support and help. Again, we will be sending out more communication on Monday and Tuesday afternoon. Please join us in showing our support to one of our fallen heroes and the Jenkins friends and family.
If I can be of any assistance, please feel free to email me or call the school at 865-458-2026. Thank you!
