Hello Ft. Loudoun Braves & Families! I am Dr. Allison Buck, school psychologist for Ft. Loudoun Middle School. I am originally from the Boston area (Go Patriots & Red Sox!). I lived in Southwest Florida for three years, where I worked in a residential treatment facility with children and adolescents who struggled with social/emotional challenges. The facility used a behavior management program where children earned rewards and privileges when they demonstrated positive behaviors or made positive choices. I ran social skills groups and supervised the children at school and at the facility. I definitely saw behavior improve as a result of the program and this experience led me to the field of school psychology. I also worked at an Adult/Children Crisis Stabilization Unit as a discharge planner and as an adult case manager at a Community Mental Health Center. I then moved to the Knoxville area to attend graduate school in 2010 at UT (Go VOLS!)
I am generally at Ft. Loudoun Middle two days a week (Tuesdays & Wednesdays) and can be flexible as needed! I work closely with our Ft. Loudoun Middle School faculty and administrators to ensure we are adequately meeting the educational needs of our students so they can feel successful in the classroom! Feel free to contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org or at (865) 458-2026 ext. 1841.
