FIVE HOUSES. ONE FAMILY. Today was a great day at Fort Loudoun Middle School as we held our first official House Meetings and Assembly of the school year! We celebrated, competed, and recognized some outstanding members of our FLMS family! We recognized our top overall House Point winners and celebrated the hard work, character, and House pride our students have shown! We were also honored to present Years of Service pins to Mrs. Leatherwood, Mrs. Christensen, Mrs. Cooper, Mr. Fritts, Ms. Shepherd, Mrs. Ellis, and Mrs. Klippert. Thank you for your years of dedication and service to students! Teacher of the Week: Mrs. Fulgham Staff Member of the Week: Ms. Morales Of course, no House Assembly would be complete without a little friendly competition! Today, to celebrate our unit on The Red Scarf Girl, seventh grade ELA enjoyed cultural immersion experience. We created Chinese lanterns and learned how to write our names in Chinese as well as our house names and house traits. We also got to enjoy a little Chinese cuisine including noodles with authentic Chinese sauce, fortune, cookies, and rice crackers. The kids had a great time and loved enjoying a little bit of the Chinese culture.

🇺🇸 Freedom Spirit Week at FLMS! 🇺🇸

 FLMS capped off Freedom Spirit Week with a special lesson exploring the foundations of our nation—from the American Revolution and the Declaration of Independence to the U.S. Constitution and what it means to be an American citizen today. ❤️🤍💙 Students also put their strength, endurance, and determination to the test by participating in the President’s Physical Fitness Test! 💪🇺🇸 We finished the celebration with a cool patriotic treat—red, white, and blue popsicles! It was a great day of learning, movement, and celebrating the freedoms and responsibilities that come with American citizenship. 🇺🇸 Go Braves! 🇺🇸

It’s time to come together and support our community! Fort Loudoun Middle School is collecting non-perishable food items and monetary donations as part of the annual Battle of the Bridge Food Drive benefiting the Good Samaritan Center.
